MacK1950 2,399
The hatred and dislike is understandable with the way we were treated.Similarly I am always pleased when the Manchester teams get gubbed, although it is not their fault,I cannot forgive that City for the way they treated our fans in the Euro final.

der Berliner 3,815
The conundrum here is that we were the victims, we got hammered by the SPL/SFA cohorts for faults not ours (club and fans), so these idiots got exactly all they have craved for. Yet the hatred that oozes out of the fan-dom of the Arabs, Hearts, Hibs, Dons and obviously the Yahoos has still intensified exponentially. And the only reason I can think of here is: we didn't do them the favour and collapsed altogether and withered away. This, and the heinous sin of making it back to the top tier. Plus the knowledge that they, had they suffered the same, would now jostle with East Stirlingshire in the Lowland Football League.
cooponthewing 1,139
Bang on dB! However remember, they will all be going through the conscious "when your enemy is down, make sure you finish them off" scenario over and over in their head. They did not finish us off!. They know we will never forget, so they will do all they can to keep us down and never in a position of influence to come after them!. The thing is, everything, in time, changes. We will have our moment, out retribution, it's just a matter of patience.
ian1964 10,761
Rangers kid Jordan Thompson admits Manchester United pal Marcus Rashford is his inspiration Thompson, who is loan at Raith Rovers, played alongside Rashford in the United youth team. Jordan Thompson doesn’t have to look too far for inspiration when it comes to making an impact. If he ever needed advice on that he’d just give his Manchester United pal Marcus Rashford a call. Midfielder Thompson is on loan at Raith Rovers from Rangers and has his sights set on breaking into the Ibrox first-team next season. He knows anything is possible after seeing his mate Rashford explode on to the scene at Old Trafford. Thompson spent four years at United as a youth, having signed his contract in Sir Alex Ferguson’s office. He was team-mates with Rashford, who is now a regular for United gaffer Jose Mourinho’s first-team and an England international. The Gers youngster insists the striker was ALWAYS going to make the grade at United because his talent was clear from a very early age. Thompson, who will line up for Raith against Hearts in the Scottish Cup today, said: “Of all the boys I played with who are doing well in the game, the main one is obviously Rashford. “We came up through the teenage ranks and everyone can now see how good he is. He’s frightening. What he’s achieved so far at United has been unbelievable.“But I knew he was special, even at a young age. You could just tell. He had so much ability. “Marcus had a few injuries when he was starting to stretch and grow up. That hindered him a bit.“But before that, you just knew. His talent was incredible. Everything about him just grew and got better. His hold up play was brilliant, his strength on the ball improved. But the skill has always been there.” Thompson grew up in Belfast as a Rangers fan but was snapped up by United at just 14. He’ll never forget the day he arrived at the Theatre of Dreams – and the words offered to him by legendary Scots boss Ferguson. But that made it all the tougher when United released him 18 months ago. He said: “Walking into Old Trafford for the first time at that age, it was a special moment.“Even at 14, you know how big Man United are. The facilities are amazing, they have everything.“When I signed, I was brought in to Sir Alex’s office. He spoke to me about how well boys from Belfast do at the club and how good their attitude is.“I couldn’t believe he was actually speaking to me. “And being from Belfast, people always mention George Best. At first, that’s all I ever heard at United.“It was incredible experience but, of course, it was difficult to accept leaving at first.” Thompson could have ended up signing for Hibs but a surprise visit from an Ibrox hero meant he was bound for Ibrox. He said: “I was down at Fleetwood on trial and was actually supposed to go to Hibs as well. “But then Ian Durrant came over to Belfast to see me and we had a meeting. He was really keen on getting me over – so I decided to patch Hibs! I’d grown up as a Rangers fan so to have a legend like Ian come over was incredible. “My dad Brian was even more gobsmacked than I was.” Thompson has already featured in Mark Warburton’s first-team but was loaned to Airdrie last term before joining up with Raith. He hopes today’s Scottish Cup tie can be the perfect platform for him to impress the Gers boss ahead of his return in the summer. The 20-year-old said: “When I go back I’ll be fighting for a place in the first-team squad.“I’m confident in my ability and think I’m good enough to play for the club in the future. “Games like against Hearts are ideal for me to show the manager and everyone else what I can do.“It’s a big step for us, going from the Championship to playing against a side like Hearts. “But we think we can compete and nick something off them.”
