SPFL hoping to stamp out supporter misconduct after issuing revised rule book

Recommended Posts

Of course it does mean that we will have to do everything in our power to prevent any unacceptable conduct at Ibrox.

And who gets to define what is unacceptable conduct?

That's the problem. Lots that we sing will be defined as sectarian and anything they sing will be political and therefore allowed.

We have already seen that use of the H word is allowed whereas use of the F word would be headline news.

When you have Rangers haters setting the agenda and making the definitions then we have as much, if not more to lose than any other club.

I am surprised at you asking a question to which you surely know the answer - the government and the football authorities.

We cannot decry the fact that action is not taken against Celtic and other Clubs for certain incidents, if we do not support a change in the rules that would make it far easier to take the said action.

As you know well, UEFA imposes significant sanctions under the principle of strict liability for incidents that go unpunished or are subject to much lighter punishment in Scotland.

It is naivety in the extreme to think that we Rangers have anything whatsoever to gain from the imposition of strict liability, those desiring its' introduction need to venture outside their Utopian bubble and see the reality of Scottish football.

The whole of Scottish football will gain immensely from the imposition of strict liability; it is naïve in the extreme to think that the government will put up with the unacceptable conduct of some supporters ad infinitum.

You only have to read the report into the Scottish Cup Final debackle or Elsie's tweet in the aftermath to gauge how we Rangers will be treated under strict liability compared to the rest of Scottish football.

Seriously who the f*&k do you think will be the whipping boy, the first to get points deducted, the first to have a section of their ground closed, the first to have the whole stadium closed etc...etc..?

Do you mean the dozen or so slaps on the wrists that URFA have handed down to Celtic in the last 5 years ??

That is some Utopian world you are living in BH.

I didn't think you were THAT naive as to actually believe that the playing field would be level. Not a chance whilst Lowell and Petrie are running things, not a chance !! We would be hung, drawn and quartered whilst other would slip through convenient loopholes.

Seriously can't believe you think this would be applied even-handedly. Have you been living on the moon since 2012 ?

Exactly. So the SNP, Regan, Doncaster and Lawwell and not forgetting the agenda/influence made by the press and the likes of the BBC.

And you think that this is a positive thing for Rangers?

BH I am sorry but you have made some bad decisions in the people you trust in the last 5 years. I didn't think anyone so smart could be so naive or is it trusting all persons to sail a straight and honest path? Unfortunately life is not like that. If only Adam hadn't ate that F***n apple.
