Rob Kiernan charged by SFA for striking St Johnstone’s Steven Anderson

Recommended Posts

You can see it here!, a joke!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38459886

We don't see the moment of impact but we do see him clench his fist. It's certainly stupidity by Kiernan.

However, if there is no other camera angle, then he has no case to answer because it's not even clear that a blow of any kind was struck.

On the other hand if no blow was struck then the St Johnstone player is or should be in trouble for simulation.

Sad stuff from the SFA. Unless they have different camera angles, there's no case to answer. Surely they know that!!!

Oh, by the way, how come they are so explicit about the offence, rule breached, penalty offered, dates to respond by, but they can't be sure about the exact time in the match that they alleged this has happened!!!!!! What's with the "on or around" shite? Is it to make it look like a legal document when it's actually a letter from a kangaroo court?!?!?

Of course it's not a kangaroo court because it's in the SFA Rules and the wording is indeed legalise to avoid a defence of it occurred but not at that precise minute.

Trial by BT ... you've got to admire Scotland and its institutions. (That is bitter sarcasm, BTW)

. . .

Any word on Curan by now? Or is it essentially a "who cries loudest" sort of jury?

Correct.

It has been stated in public that the comliance officer responds based on the level of reaction that follows any incident.

Complete farce.

But this is what the club should be doing mate!, even MW laughed it off as nonsense in his press conference!, the Rangers board should be fighting this not us fans!

Of course the Club should be fighting it Ian.... but that doesn't prevent the rank and file supporter from doing their bit to highlight the inconsistency. We are all in this together so we should do everything we can.

You yourself took on the BBC and should be highly commended for doing so.... it didn't bear fruit but it certainly would have ruffled some feathers - so what is different between your BBC Campaign and this ? I would argue nothing.

I would hope the Club DO take the Compliance Officer to task - but that doesn't mean we shouldn't also be making our voices heard.

If there is none thing we should have learned from Celtic fans is the ability to make ourselves hear and to be a force for change.

I certainly wasn't having a go at you mate for taking them on, and applaud you for it, but as you said I got nowhere with it, I was merely stating the obvious when saying the club should be fighting it.

When we have bitter losers like Sutton highlighting a nothing moment and turning it into some kind of 'assault' by a Rangers player who in effect gets a 2 match ban by the so called compliance officer then Scottish football is not just simply a laughing stock but in a serious position of corruptness when you look at the money involved in the game.

Celtic will win the league we already know but this is the sort of thing that Sutton was employed for by BT Sports, and he's shamefully trying to earn his corn to appease tim.

Sutton brought the game into disrepute many years ago when he accused Dunfermline FC of 'lying down' in a game Rangers won to seal the title. BT Sports are bringing the game into disrepute by employing this rhetard to pass his personal views onto the 'general' public.

Anyone who subscribes to BT should reconsider their position and how their hard earned cash is being used.

Distinct shades of Aluko getting done for "simulation" a few years back after the usual media outcry.

Or the UEFA sanctions after not singing TBB v PSV in 2011.

Or...you know, fuck it, take your pick.

What a country.

Thankfully we don't have to worry about it too much norris.... living abroad has its positives
