Manchester United give Rangers target Matthew Knox another chance to win Old Trafford deal

Jose Mourinho hands Livingston youngster a third trial as EPL giants ponder £150,000 bid for the 17-year-old midfielder.

MATTHEW KNOX will head to Manchester United on Monday in a bid to land a dream move to Old Trafford.

The Livingston kid has been handed a third trial with Jose Mourinho ’s side who want a final look at the 17-year-old before deciding on making a £150,000 bid for the midfielder.

Knox became the youngest player to play for the Lions when he made his debut just just four days after his 16th birthday last December and has had two spells training with the English giants this year.

The highly rated youngster has also had stints with Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton while Rangers failed with numerous bids for the Scotland under-17 player in the summer.

The Light Blues had a bid of £75,000 rejected by the League One side with the club looking for at least double that fee for one of the hottest properties in the country.

But Man United are now favourites to land Knox who will train with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Paul Pogba and co next week when he heads south for a make or break few days with the Red Devils.

Livingston safeguarded their most valuable asset earlier this month when they tied Knox down to a new two-and -half year deal earlier this month.
