JFK-1 1,694
I hope they do get McInnes to quit. Go back to pre McInnes days when they finished 8th in an SPL that didn't even have Rangers in it. That's the way to go. Backwards and downwards.
the gunslinger 3,366
He's the only decent thing they have. Good manager.
Norris Cole 0
Ha ha, do they want him out? They are beyond parody. Get over it gentleman, you'll never finish second again.
the gunslinger 3,366
Aberdeen are only ever any good with a rangers man in charge.
Norris Cole 0
Aberdeen are only ever any good with a rangers man in charge. That's not true - what about Mark McGhee? Roy Aitken?
JFK-1 1,694
It's simply a failure to acknowledge that Rangers are back in the mix and accept what that means. If we weren't back in it they would be sitting second right now though miles behind the lead. Think anyone would be calling for McInnes head in that situation? The sheep fans are idiots but you would surely think the board are at least a shade smarter. But in saying that McInnes himself might decide you know what f@#$ this.
BrahimHemdani 1
Get your floodlights up to a post 1950s standard and people might listen to you. Boo Hoo. A large number of ours appear to be out at the moment; the area of the pitch in front of the Broomloan Stand appears to be badly affected.
BrahimHemdani 1
I found this bit amusing. Last time they played at Dens there was a crowd of 6,321 in a ground with a capacity of 11,506 which is hardly something to brag about. Dundee had only a thousand or so less than that in the crowd when they hosted our opponents tonight Hamilton. Hamilton have the smallest home average attendance in the league by a distance. Their average is barely half that of the next lowest Ross County. But getting past the amusement and on to the main complaint. Yes it would be a sensible option if Aberdeen were the main event. But since the main event is kept till later and Aberdeen are never going to be that when Rangers are also playing all I can say is. BOOHOO It's arguable in terms of current league positions that Kilmarnock (7th) vs Aberdeen (3rd) is every bit as much the main event as Dundee (10th) vs Rangers (2nd); but from the TV perspective the main event will be that with biggest audience potential and clearly this would be Rangers away. I am not sure the point you are trying to make comparing Dundee and Hamilton attendances but it is a fact that Aberdeen have one of the better travelling supports if not the best travelling support in Scotland outside of the old firm and they have to travel to Glasgow whenever they appear in semis (when Edinburgh would be a more reasonable option) and finals at Hampden. It is almost exactly twice the distance from Aberdeen to Kilmarnock as it is from Glasgow to Dundee, so leaving trains aside, the Aberdeen fans have a fair case here. The train journey involves 2 or 3 changes and it is impossible to get there in time on the day, unless they overnight in Edinburgh or Dundee. If the shoe were on the other foot, we would struggle to get to Aberdeen by train as the first one does not arrive till 12:38pm. It is only an hour and half by car for us to Dundee and there are numerous train options for us to get there on time. At the very least Aberdeen FC are right to express their disappointment on behalf of their travelling support. Yetf NOBODY ever complains when WE are the ones that have enormous travel times for obscure kick off times. I understand that everyone will concentrate on their own situation but that right there is all that is wrong with the Scottish game - look out for EVERYONE'S best interests, not just your own - and you may actually see change for the better. The SPFL are fools, but we all already knew that. Aberdeen are so hung up on Rangers that they don't realise that we could actually help them in dealing with some of these complaints - but they would rather Rangers-hate. They are a club which has the most despicable fans - more so than Celtic IMHO.
JFK-1 1,694
Well as was mentioned TV audiences decide what is the main event and when it comes to a Rangers match or an Aberdeen match Rangers are always going to be the main event. That's exactly the same down South too where the bigger clubs are always going to be the main TV event. I can understand Aberdeen not liking that but it is what it is and they are what they are. And what they are is nothing in comparison to Rangers when it comes to TV. They used to know that but appear to have forgotten it recently. They're like a BBC 2 show tucked away at a late hour while Rangers are prime time BBC 1. They just need to relearn that.
