Rangers 2 ( Kiernan, McKay) v Hearts 0 post-match discussion

Recommended Posts

McKay was terrific; he always tries the intricate pass, but it's amazing how better he is with a bit of confidence.

Garner was a constant thorn in their side. It doesn't bother me too much that he's not scoring -- although I'd prefer it -- as long as he puts in shifts like today.

We could have had a few more if Waghorn was not so greedy -- can't really blame him, though!

On another day with a touch of luck, the scoreline would have read 5-1 and no-one could argue about that. Very solid, very determined, very good. If we keep the momentum, one actually might look forward to x-mas eve.

Anyone can get Waghorn his scoring boots?! :D

I often scan over opposing forums on match day to see what they're saying and it's absolutely nothing like the chat we have here. EVER!

When we're outplayed we're outplayed and though we bitch about it the fault is our own team. Not referees or anything else. If the opposition outplay us they get the credit for a good performance. Not so on this hearts forum. The referee is a cheat, Rangers are shite but hearts just didn't turn up and so on.

The reality is that hearts tried to play and we simply didn't let them get into it because we're a far superior side and I expect they're going to be burning the one voice of sanity in that forum at the stake soon because fantasy is what they want in their infantile fairy tale. Not reality. This is what the guy has posted in response to all their blather about referees and Rangers being shite.

Nonsense.. Rangers were up for today because of last week.. we were at least as good today as we were at Ibrox when than Newcastle guy scored the winner..

The fact is though that today Rangers were 100 times better.. the pressed very well and our pressing game didn't work because the held onto the ball well..

This wasn't a bad day at the office.. this was 1000 quid a week players up against 10000 quid a week players and it showed.. we didn't do what we could do but we were never allowed to..

Our players will learn.. Cathro will learn.. MacPhee will learn.. we will come out stronger..

The better team won.. we move on..

Poor guy will probably be tarred and feathered at a minimum.

The problem with Waghorn is that he is completely one-footed.

How many chances has he squandered to try with his left foot?

If somebody comes in for him just take the money.

Completely agree. When he was through on goal and wrong footed the defender he had to slot it home with his right foot but instead changed to his left and narrowed the angle.

Got to say the way Garner challenged for high balls, winning most and laying it off to runners should make him a stick on for selection.

Also we've finally stepped up to the physicality and pace of the top tier

Waggy with game time will be more accurate.

McKay back to his best
