In the latest twist to the Joey Barton saga the midfielder has reportedly been signed off by his GP with stress. Barton, who was suspended by the club following an altercation with Andy Halliday and Mark Warburton, returned to training last week with the Development squad at Auchenhowie but hasn’t been seen at the training ground since his return. Interestingly, there have also been reports suggesting the Englishman was on the brink of agreeing a pay-off with the club so it looks as though there could still be much more to come from this.
