ian1964 10,724
THE mouthwatering Wembley showdown will be broadcast on "free"-to-view terrestrial TV – meaning everyone will be able to watch their side do battle against the Auld Enemy. SCOTLAND’S must-win clash with England will be shown live on terrestrial television. The game can be watched by everyone in Scotland as it is to be broadcast by STV. Gordon Strachan takes his side south for the Wembley showdown on November 11 – a week on Friday. It’s a game from which we have to take three points to get us back in the running for World Cup 2018 qualification. STV’s coverage starts at 7.15, half an hour before kick-off, and the broadcasters have revealed an A-list commentary and studio cast. Record Sport columnist Chris Sutton will be joined by former Scotland skipper Gary McAllister and international striker Kenny Miller – finally killing off any calls to bring him back for the match. Their coverage will be fronted by Raman Bhardwaj, with Derek Rae providing the commentary. The move is a boost to Scotland fans, who rarely get the chance to watch their team on "free"-to-view TV. However, England’s home games are always on ITV. Strachan announces his squad for the trip on Wednesday lunchtime. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/england-vs-scotland-shown-live-9178618
calscot 0
All this is, is that England have a TV deal with ITV and Scotland have a deal with Sky, which means games between the two nations will be shown on both. STV are doing nothing special.

So Sky it is. Anything to avoid listening to Sutton.
StuGers 477
How the feck does John McGinn continue to get selected? I always thought that someone had said playing in a lower league would be a barrier?
MacK1950 2,376
McGinn wears green & white doesn't he.
calscot 0
So Sky it is. Anything to avoid listening to Sutton. I think I might be wrong there. I think ITV have it exclusively due to being an England home game.
calscot 0
So this article isn't quite accurate: "Meanwhile, Sky Sports has won the rights to all the live qualifying matches involving Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland at home and away and will show highlights of England's games." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/may/14/itv-rights-england-qualifiying-matches Edited November 2, 2016 by calscot

So tuning into ITV rather than STV would be the answer!
