AN Aberdeen supporter was left with blood pouring from her head after being hit with a missile at the end of the match against Celtic.

The 53-year-old Dons supporter was struck and injured just after the final whistle at Pittodrie.

She was left with a bleeding wound and was helped by first aiders at the scene just before 2pm.

Pictures posted on Twitter showed the blonde-haired woman with her head bowed clutching a dressing to the cut.

Police are now hunting the culprit, and said the object which hit the woman may have been a coin.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Following the end of the match a 53-year-old woman was struck with an object and sustained some injury.

“Investigations are being carried out and any witnesses are asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”

Outraged fans tweeted pictures of the incident showing the woman - dressed in a red top and black bodywarmer - being comforted.

Twitter user bazzared1903 wrote: “Well done whichever Celtic fan threw the coin that hit this lady. Hope you’re pleased with yourself. Scum.”

Daniel Duguid also tweeted the image to Celtic and the Scottish FA with the words: “Aberdeen supporter hit with coin after game any punishment?? Disgusting.”

Not a real sellik fan. An imposter warming up to blacken their name if strict liability comes in. There are thousands of imposters waiting in the wings to sing songs praising murdering terrorists to blacken their name. A large section of their crowd are imposters.

Unless they have him hauled in front of a judge with a DNA-sample proving his guilt, these weak papers won't tell that it were Scum-supporters that threw the coins. Or, equally plasuible, they printed half-truths on purpose, due to their own leanings.

In any case, that poor soul (the thrower) will be attested a difficult upbringing and his attempt to throw riches at the poor Dons will be seen as some sort of "misguided" charity attempt. 5 hours community work ...

Or her guilt (not the lady being hit but the coin thrower - could have been female) ? You cant assume it was a guy that threw the coin, likely though it is.

Interesting, but not surprising how the headline leads with "Aberdeen fan hit with object AT Celtic match" so as to camouflage which team the perpetrator supports.

No surprise either that the Record doesn't mention that a Celtic fan did it.

And to think.... Celtic actually won this game. It will be a long night in Glasgow when we next win an OF game.
