Train to/from Hampden on Sunday

Recommended Posts

There are a few hills involved in that journey Coop. If I was going to be walking any distance I'd rather take the flat roads to Victoria Rd, etc.

But agreed, it'll be mobbed.

you can get the train from there to Central....Queens Park. Also going you could get off there for the game, or Langside (an even shorter walk to the Mount Florida end)

Apart from Mount Florida I'd think Crosshill would be the station nearest. Problem is, the trains will be packed in both directions from any of them. At least in Victoria Rd you're only skirting apache country and you're not far from a couple of civilised watering holes to waste an hour or so.

Langside's nearer than Crosshill......but you could do a wee tour of Cathkin Park on your way to and from Crosshill....it's off Myrtle Park street

we did that on the way back from the last game at Hampden.....stood on the Cathkin terracing and lobbed beeries towards the goals...singing bad songs..(we picked the cans up afterwards of course....but it was magic

The alternative - follow the Queens Park fence past Viccy Rd along to Pollokshaws Road and pop into the New Regent.
