RANGERS boss Mark Warburton paid his personal respects today at the funeral of bus crash victim Ryan Baird.

The Englishman was among over 500 mourners who packed into Magheramorne Presbyteran Church in Larne, Co Antrim, to pay a sad farewell to the 39-year-old who was killed a fortnight ago.

A Minister told loved ones who braved the pouring rain “our hearts are breaking today’’ over the dad-of-two’s death in what he described as a “tragic accident".

Ryan was originally from Larne but had been living in Sanquhar, a town in Dumfries, for the past four years where he had been working as a joiner.

A total of 37 people were on board the bus including the driver.

Three were seriously hurt in the crash, with 18 people taken to hospital.

As Ryan’s coffin was shouldered out of the church by family relatives, the church organist played the tune BBC 1’s Match of the Day programme.

Outside in the pouring rain, members of the Orange Order and the Apprentice Boys donned their collarets and formed a guard of honour for the funeral cortege.

A police motorcycle outrider escorted Ryan’s remains on the two mile journey to his final resting place in Ballycarry New Cemetery.

Ryan's sister Donna McKee paid tribute on Twitter this morning with a picture of the pair.

She said: "Never in a million years did I ever think I would be saying goodbye to my brother so young. Love u Ryan."

Supporters packed out St Bride's Church in Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire, to say goodbye.
