Barebear 37 Posted October 8, 2016 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Following the conclusion of the Rugby League and AFL seasons, the A-League started here last night in Brisbane. Kevin Muscat's Melbourne Victory took a point, 1-1 against Roar who had captain Matt McKay sent of for a second yellow, very soft!!! The equaliser came in the 96th minute through a very scrappy lob following some head tennis and really poor defending!! I think the A-League is on BT Sport and although it's not top notch football, it's better than it used to be, and getting better year on year. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ive watched a few on TV but like you say its not top notch football. I think the Asian Champions League is good entertainment though. The best of China, S Korea, Japan mixing it with the A league. The A League is a bit like the MLS 10 years ago but unfortunately I don't think it will get the financial backing the Amercians have got.
