chilledbear 16
Well done to the lad. Young midfielder Liam Burt has been called up to the Scotland Under 21 squad to face Iceland and Macedonia. Burt, who is only 17-years-old, has worked with new Under 21’s manager Scot Gemmill at Under 15 and Under 17 level previously and has obviously made a big impression on

RANGERRAB 3,990
We really dont seem to have any other youngster other than him at present who has a chance of breaking into the first team do we ?
Tannochsidebear 2,460
We have Ryan Hardie who, anytime I see clips of him out on loan, looks better than Garner,Dodoo & Miller to me but the gaffer thinks otherwise. our manager doesn't seem to be one for youth players he hasn't signed.
chilledbear 16
Scott Roberts scored a smashing goal for Raith Rovers last week, and Tom Walsh scored a super goal for St Mirren yesterday. Not sure it will do them any good though.
MacK1950 2,438
Agree with Tannoch. MW seems to support a developement squad but not make use of them.I still think he will get us on the right track but am somewhat disillusioned with him at times.
calscot 0
Maybe our 60 to 20 year olds just aren't good enough (due to Sinclair etc) or something, but while I don't like chucking in loads of kids for the sake of it, I prefer it when we give a couple of academy graduates a fair run in the team each season. If nothing else it gives all them hope and a reason to work at their game with the right amount of dedication. But that's just not happening.
pete 2,511
Warburton is trying to fine-tune the first team at the moment with a batch of new players it is a bit unfair to also give academy players a run.
MacK1950 2,438
Okay that may be what he is trying to do but I ask is the loaning out really a way of giving him the chance not to see developement,as Hardie and Walsh could not be in a worse team at the moment which I doubt will help them develope.
