A jag in the bum. Rangers v Partick Thistle Preview

Recommended Posts

I think the team that started against the sheep will start tomorrow, bad result against them but I thought we played well,Waghorn had a poor game but I would stick with him,Garner will come good I think and is always busy, we still have Windass,Dodoo and Crooks to make their way into the team, unless for tactical reasons I expect the same team to start as last week.

Looking forward to the match today, the sun is shining, will enjoy our pre match beers in the Neptune and into the ground buzzing!,feel good about today let's hope we are all feeling good post match after a good performance/result with a few goals so I can come on here afterwards talking about how good we were instead of the depressing chat that has been happening lately due to our results!.

I fully expect a good performance they just need to start garnishing it with the goals. Hopefully today is the day it all clicks. It's overdue.

Hope ur right but can't see it. Expect another dour 90 minutes. The players we have simply arent good enough to get us where we want to be. Without substantial investment that isnt about to change anytime soon unfortunately

I'm starting to agree with you Rab but will wait until xmas before giving up hope. Thistle will park the bus and hit us on the break. We are making chances and thistle are no great improvement on QOTS so hopefully with Waggy through the middle and pace on the flanks we will create and convert chances.

I'd rather see two strikers through the middle rather than just Waghorn.

I think that's a big part of the problem at the moment which the manager cannot or will not accept

To be honest I don't think the sheep were much better than Thistle are and to illustrate that check these stats from their last meeting just a few weeks ago when Thistle traveled to Pittodrie and lost 2-1

Possession: Aberdeen 53% - Thistle 47%

Shots: Aberdeen 10 - Thistle 11

Corners: Aberdeen 3 - Thistle 6

As far as i'm concerned we outplayed Aberdeen on their own patch and just failed to take the chances some of which were gilt edged. I'm pretty confident we will pin Thistle back in the first minutes and proceed with a total siege. I still feel we are at least second best in that league by a comfortable margin and we just need to start putting the ball in the net.

i will get 1.5 hrs of Ryder cup in before the game. I should do some work but when the wife is away the mouse will play.

Ryder cup the whole day on one telly. Other English football on another telly. And Rangers on the computer. What a day.

Come on Rangers and team Europe.
