[FT] Rangers 5 (Holt 33; Halliday 62; Waghorn 63, 71, 83) - 0 Queen of the South

Apart from having a good game,I thought Halliday did well as captain and at times showing authority.

Well done Andy. :rfcbouncy:

I like the notion of Halliday becoming captain. Wallace has been a great servant and ambassador for the club during a very trying time but for me he lacks the vocal stature that gets behind/on top of the players

See where you are coming from there but is Halliday a guarantee pick every game? He is a club captain type. You don't always need the armband to be captain.

Vocal stature has got nothing to do with captaincy. Wallace is the Captain of Rangers end of, and that fact won't change until he retires after lifting 55,56 or 57.

I think Rae is excellent. I grew up listening to him on the wireless and I reckon he's as balanced and as neutral as you can get. I also certainly think he tries to keep the negativity of Sutton and Stewart in check.

I don't always mind those two - nothing wrong with strong opinions - but it just seems forced and, last night anyway, OTT and lacking balance.

They used exactly the same script for the 'Tic v Alloa game last night .................. insert 'Kung Fu Gordon' for Forrester.

However Howard Webb must have had the night off :D

Have to agree with Derek Rae, he is good. By far the best Scottish commentator going, in fact the only one. The 80s had a few goodeens like David Francey and I was always a fan of Archie McPherson.

Ian Crocker for some reason has always annoyed me.
