Rangers 0 v Ross County 0 Post match Discussion

Back on topic, I think the QotS match comes at a good time. A chance to make a few changes in the team and score some goals and give the team confidence. 2 points from the last 9 isn't what we expected so we aim to change that and get back on track next weekend which will be a difficult match due to playing at a group who hate Rangers more than they like their own team.

What difference will it make to the players on the park if they hate us or not? Don't you remember 'Everybody hates us and we don't care' !!

It may be interesting in the sense that QoS are sitting top of the Championship and unbeaten this season including defeating hibz at Easter Road by 3 goals to 1 to reach this round of the cup. That instills in the exuberant ones a fantasy that if QoS can do that to them at home then they can easily do the same to us because they think they''re up there among the top 5 teams in the country.

I don't agree with either of those views but that's the state of affairs in fantasy land.

Pittodrie goes to new heights though so the players have to expect a team who will raise their game maybe 30% compared to maybe a Kilmarnock who raise 10%. (Along with Tannadice and Easter Road)

Hopefully MW has learned from the Celtic game not to drop the attacking passing game and go with experience hoping it would be right. I hope we go with the fast younger skilful attacking players.

I have no fears of going to Aberdeen. If you take us out of it they are still far and away firm favourites for second place and I believe we are comfortably better than they are.

I am struggling to understand the second sentence above. If they are firm favourites for second place and you are discounting us finishing first; how do you make out that "we are comfortably better than they are".

I appreciate you live in the US and have no idea if you are a native or a Scottish exile; but I'll take a guess that it's some time since you watched Rangers at Aberdeen. This has never been a comfortable trip and we didn't manage a win for three seasons 2007 - 2010 when we had a somewhat better team than we can muster these days. You have to look back to 2004 to find more than a one goal margin of victory.

Aberdeen are above us in the league on goal difference and have had marginally better comparable results at Dundee and Parkhead. So again I don't see any evidence that we are better, never mind "comfortably better" than they are.

He said if you take us out of it, meaning they are the best of the rest without the OF.

I'd say 3 out of 3 is 100% and may not be typical but I think most managers would find it more than acceptable.

I would say all would find it acceptable and I would find it more than acceptable but it's more rare than typical in any league.
