Scott7 6,173
I was going to agree with you , Norris, but in fact it's Pires that I agree with.
Gribz 919
I agree with Pires also, if Arsenal didnt lose silly home games to Watford, and Swansea in the past then they would always be right up there. Then their is lack of performance against the Boltons and Stokes away in the past. Arsenals average point tally behind the champions since 2004 has been 13 points, thats 4 games against these type of clubs plus the need for 1 point off one of the top 6. Then look at Man Utd this season - Home draws with Hull, West Ham, Burnley and Stoke, is 8 points dropped which would have put them only 6 behind Chelsea. Plus they havent won against a top 6 side at home, had they got just 1 of them they would be right in the title race. the gunslinger 3,366
It really isn't the best league in the world. That depends how you measure it. It certainly doesnt have the best few teams in it. But it is far more competitive top to bottom than any other. Its had 4 different winners in the last 4 years. Most others are 2 or 1 horse races.
Gribz 919
The Championship is the most competitive league in the world every year. There is always at least 6 teams in the hunt for the play offs. I remember one year when 4 different teams were in the final play on the lat day at one stage, its great entertainment. Good result for Sheff Wed, Im hoping they get up with Leeds and Newcastle. Although Brighton look like they will go up and deservedly so. The Premier League this year is competitive this far - 6 teams going for 4 places and there is 6 or 7 in the relegation battle. Standard is another argument.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
Arsenal the perennial bottle jobs will never win anything significant again under Arsene.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
This Conte formation is just so destructive to teams on the counter. Costa with Hazard and Pedro out wide, then two wing backs too. How do you defend against that? Chelsea have showed this season they're a mile ahead of the rest of English football. How would this side fare against Europe's elite? That will be the true test. The front three are certainly that level.

JFK-1 1,693
The implosion of English football if sky ever pulled the plug would be spectacular though currently I don't envisage that happening for the foreseeable future.
Ser Barristan Selmy 222
It's a bit silly people saying the Premier League is the most competitive league when Chelsea have already won it.
