Warbs’ Injury Concern

Recommended Posts

... which essentially clears up why O'Halloran wasn't used. After taking Rossiter off and then having Barton kicked, it was only logical that Halliday would get the holding MF slot. And while he was shooting blanks and didn't get much of his early passes right, the pitch did not help. I usually don't have much to say about this plastic stuff, but the ball was somewhat unpredictable - or our folk needed too much time to adapt, whichever reason one may take it. It probably also "aided" the Dodoo injury.

Wonder why he did not say a whisper about Senderos ...

Clint Hill certainly does not look up to it after getting outpaced by Chris Boyd last night.

It is Kris Boyd, and he's a chap that has scored nearly 170 goals in nearly 370 games and has outfoxed defenders young and old to this very day, who weren't all shyte, nor have they give up the game afterwards. Kiernan lets the ball pass him by and over about 10 yards Kris was quick enough to keep Hill at bay ... and sure did not ran away from him. IMHO, here we have too many people who put the dagger into Hill no matter what. Much like ageing defenders, ageing strikers know exactly when to accelerate for that half yard that they need. We saw the same with McDonald last week. And that is not simply because our defenders are bad. Else, to turn this on its head, our attackers only score because the opposition defenders are all bad or error-prone. Perhaps we get back to a more level-headed approach with our defence?

Ok Kris Boyd  He was absolutely crap when he came back to us and failed to win promotion from the championship. Even at his best Walter Smith wouldn't pick him for Europe or against Celtic. He could score but only against poor defenders, of which they are plenty in Scotland including Rangers.

We have a fair list of players either injured or still not fit to play following injury. Waghorn, Windass, Crooks, Dodoo, Wilson straight off the top of my head. Almost half a team and so far we haven't once been able to field a side and bench that might be his first choice with everyone fit.

You missed the best of the injured lot, Jason Holt. Badly missed this season.

Yep, another to add to that list so we have more than half an outfield all missing right now so as I previously stated the team is still in the process of gelling and since there has never been a single chance to name what might be his first choice team and bench i'm remaining confident at this early stage that despite everything including some poor form we are still undefeated and sitting in a respectable second spot and in the last 8 of the league cup.
