AGREEMENT between the Perth club and Tayside police means no further tickets will be sold to anyone because the Parkhead side have filled their areas.

ST JOHNSTONE fans have been left in a fury after the Perth club announced that no further tickets would be on sale for their weekend clash with Celtic.

The McDiarmid Park outfit released a statement on their website this evening informing fans of the decision, which comes about due to an agreement between the club and Tayside police to stop Celtic fans gaining tickets for the home sections of the ground.

Fans took to Twitter, to vent their anger at the decision following the release of the statement, which read:

"With regards to admission to Saturday’s match against Celtic FC, the club wishes to advise all supporters that the last remaining tickets for the Celtic areas of the ground sold out late this afternoon and in line with the agreement in place with the Police and to maintain segregation, ALL ticket sales have therefore ceased.

"If you are not a St Johnstone FC season ticket holder or you have not already purchased a ticket for the game (St Johnstone or Celtic areas) then, regrettably, no further tickets are available and there will be no ‘walk up’ facility to either set of supporters on the day."

Supporters were left baffled at the decision, even though the club had warned this would happen when they first released details of the ticket sales for the Ladbrokes Premiership clash.

So to stop Yahoos getting into the home section, they stop selling tickets to all but a chosen few?

How about continue selling tickets and then stop obvious Yahoos getting into the home section? Since they have bought the wrong tickets, it is their problem, though one may open a ticket counter for a refund. Easy enough.
