We had an internal system and intranet of sorts but we received everything by phone and post. Yeah, sounds about right. I qualified as an accountant in 97 and my 1st post-qualified job was Scottish Equitable in September 1997 - we had Lotus Notes which, at the time, was the more popular email product between that and Outlook.... but we definitely had email in 1997, though it wasn't widely used.
