JFK-1 1,691 Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Probably the wrong thread but in looking at the pitch does anyone else think we should extend the width of the playing surface given how much possession we have and how we generally play with wingers these days ? I think it's fair to say that given the entire strategy involves moving the ball around as much space as possible can only help. The fact some have felt impelled to reduce their pitch when playing us highlights the fact that space is in our interests. I remember Davie Cooper once making a comment about being a winger and requiring space. He said something along the lines of playing at Ibrox he could operate perfectly well on the wing but then pointed out Douglas Park in Hamilton as an example of how less space hugely restricted him with the following reamrk.
