Scottish Cup Final: Police release images of 13 men

Recommended Posts

''THE latest police raid, which took place on Thursday morning, means more than 55 people have now been rounded up following pitch invasion.''

55 people?,there was thousands of photos of people on line who invaded the pitch!,is this really the best plod can do?

They certainly seem to be plodding their way through this investigation.

You can almost visualise a picture of 1 nearly retired polisman having been assigned a large cupboard and given a TV and accessories, a pile of videos, an instruction manuel of how to screen grab and put together a tiled line-up of faces with the brief that when you have completed a set of 12, send it up to X.....but on the last weekend of July when the commission is due to report just send up whatever you have ready, even if it's only 5.

The SFA & PLOD have shown to be completey incompetant again!,it's almost a cover up by the SFA/PLOD/Scottish government, I would love it if a fighting fund got going to expose these pathetic clowns!, I would happily contribute.

I wish it was that incompetent Buster. I have a feeling it may be a more coordinated attempt to shift blame and muddy the waters. This investigation which is returning tomorrow I suspect will blame both sets of fans, and it will be nothing short of at best a whitewash, at worst a blatant cover up and distortion of the truth and facts. We have already seen The Police Federation make spurious allegations regarding Rangers supporters and children leaving the ground.

In any other place we would not have had to wait this long, Hibs would have been fined and thrown out of this seasons Scottish Cup at the very least. We all wait with interest at tomorrow's outcome, however after recent events, I wouldn't be looking for the club to fight our corner if justice is not served.

We'll have to see what the commission says but there is no doubt both sets of fans will be criticised.

The part played by the Hibs fans will hopefully be fully highlighted and reflected when it comes to punishment...and I agree regards the SC ban for Hibs because fans physically attacking football players on the field of play needs such a punishment to be seen implemented.

ps. It was the Police Federation that spun a line via Jane Hamilton.

One mans slanted opinion afforded a public platform in a tabloid tag. I don't buy the written media, i will make up my own mind on things and don't feel the need for someone without credentials forcing their unqualified opinion on me.

I have only been posting here for a short while, now everyone knows I was at the CF with my eight year old niece. We were right at the front of the main stand.

Luckily after the final whistle went I had taken my neice and my sister, who was there that day, immediately up the stair. We turned and noticed the thousands of Hibs fans invading the pitch.

Now if I had decided to wait and applaud the team off and these idiots were running gesturing to an eight year old, if as had been reported they were spitting in her direction, if they were gesturing aggressively, if there actions were such that I or my sister felt she was in danger, and one of us decided, due to plod Scotland being useless, to encroach on to the park and challenge these individuals does that make us violent, drunk(I don't drink) unruly, unlawful etc etc.

I think not, this particular article is fanning more flames by its various assumptions that are easily picked up on by those who wish to attack our club and support. I don't know this "journalist" therefore I will make up my own mind on him re his shoddy, high school journalism.

Are you sure about that?

We should all find out what the independent (ahem??) commission has ruffled up today, and what conclusions they have reached.

I really hope if they do a number on us the club fight them all the way over it. Players were assaulted. If they cover this up, it won't stop until the unthinkable happens. Just madness.

I expect Rangers fans to be very unhappy with the outcome!,I expect the club to accept the outcome!,bridges have to be rebuilt!
