Dave King Response #12 - THE TICKETING POLICY

Recommended Posts

Having been part of many meetings between fans groups and the Police, I have a good idea on how they work, and indeed our own security team at the club alongside them.

Don't for one second underestimate the influence and power the police hold over these arrangements. The police believe that by giving a whole stand to them they can control the situation better. If only 1000 tickets given, they believe many more would try to get in the wrong end and this horrifies them. It is also not as easy to cordon off a route to/from the corner entrance for 1000 fans as it is for the whole Broomie. I have been over this many times with them before we went down.

There are also the financial quid pro quo with each side charging around double the price for an away ticket to take into consideration, and also the atmosphere as a sellable asset to to audiences when a large away crowd is in place.

And the facilities under the stand.

That pre supposes we sell over 50k season books if we only give them 1k. Otherwise there's a public sale.

I just feel since our troubles the rules have changed, every fan of every club wanted us dead and threatened their own clubs to ensure they kill us!,what I can't understand is why this all seems to be forgotten by our board!,the very least we should be doing is give all away fans visiting Ibrox the same ticket allocation!,why is this so difficult to implement?,the Rangers fans have backed the club 100% and yet they seem to just want to carry on where we left off!.

I want all away fans coming to Ibrox to get the same ticket allocation and if that doesn't happen then I feel the club is letting me down,as well as thousands of Rangers fans.

I've complained to Club1872, big first test for them, if they take this up with the club. If they don't take it up with the club, then they have failed at the first hurdle.

I have also emailed club1872,as a life member & ST holder, the board have to be made aware of the fans feelings on this!,and I am disgusted that the loyal Rangers fans are being ignored by the club on this.

As tannochside says the police have a very big say in this.

Doesn't do any harm to bring it up. Might work.

We all saw what a good job plod do at the Scottish cup final.

We should push the club on this,I am gutted that this is happening after everything we have been through,it is a slap in the pus to Rangers fans from the board
