Mark Warburton reveals he is hoping to sign new Ibrox deal on his return to Scotland

Barton and Krancjar maybe but a 19 year old? He only has to step out of bed in the mornings to be fit and take no more than a couple of days or so to physically recover from a hard match. It's a strange one. I don't particularly care much about the league cup this year either but I would like to beat Motherwell convincingly to lay down a marker against SPL opposition.

And to give them a hiding for their fans antics at Motherwell in the playoffs last year.

You have heard of burn out right?, I don't know I'm only guessing!,I think MW knowa what he is doing though.

This game against Motherwell during the golf just doesn't appeal to me.

I have never played golf just watch it from time to time during the close season.

Motherwell vs Rangers has always been a big attraction for as long as I can remember, more so since after the play-off in 2015. I would rather the Scottish football public could have lathered their false teeth in expectation of the golf than be distracted by a meaningless group/sectional game involving a head to head between the clubs.

I'm so uninterested in golf I don't know what golf you're talking about. Watching golf for me is probably even less interesting than watching chess. Probably get a shade more "action" in chess.

Reminds me of what some the Americans around here say to me when I call their "football" NOT football and boring. They say "you have to think of it as a chess match with people instead of pieces. To which I reply that watching chess is shite too.

Football season finishes May...Euro Cup, World Cup fills in every 2 years...we have Wimbledon then Golf Open thereafter - the British way.

2016 We now have thanks to the planners of Scottish Football a 'powder keg' of a match involving Rangers during the Golf Open?

I'm a bit of a traditionalist....we should start the football season in August like it's always been.

I do watch Wimbledon. But when it comes to golf I subscribe to the Bill Shankly school of knowledge. Shankly said that golf was "a good walk wasted" I doubt his opinion of watching it would have been much different.
