Wija 0
Just looked at the attendance for our match and Geordie match and they had 28,00 and we had 50,000 That just makes me p1ss my sides. They have won fook all in decades and they are in the last 16 of the Uefa cup. Loyal fans my arse. Had a mate who was Geordie black and white through and through and he always said that the Newcastle fans were as loyal as the day was long - you would think they would turn out for this game.. Muppets.
Gazza_8 233
A lot of the English fans don't follow their team at home in europe. I remember watching Liverpool a few seasons back and Anfield was half empty. It was the same at Middlesboro last season when they played at home. Scottish fans are the best when it comes to supporting their side in europe.

Perhpas in terms of attendance, but the "support" from the East enclosure (where I unfortunatley had a ticket Thurs) was not great.
Gribz 850
If Newcastle get to Hampden you'll get 50,000 who go week in week out to league games claiming they deserve a ticket. Those who were there the other night should be the ones considered for tickets. The most loyal fans down sown, IMO, was the Man City fans when they were relegated to Div 2. They still got 30,000 at Maine Rd.

And I always thought Wolves fans were loyal.
CammyF 8,079
Most 'middle of the road' teams in England like Wolves, Leeds, Man City, West Brom all retain a very decent support, no matter what division they are in. However, as said above, City's support when they were tumbling down division was immense and a credit to their loyality. Cammy F
Gribz 850
Leeds crowds have dropped from 40,000 in the EPL to 25,000. Its still a good crowd though. West Ham also got 27000 every home game when they dropped down a league for 2 seasons and they alwasy got big crowds in the 2nd tier when I lived down there and went to see them. - Be interesting next season tho!!
