Mike Ashley resigns from Rangers retail?

Recommended Posts

do Murray and King now not have a 2-1 majority on the board. Maybe a deal is being brokered.

We do have a majority at present but it may not mean anything if SD have the right to appoint someone else, which, if the do, they could do at a drop of a hat.

If you listen to yon fanny John James, Ashley has resigned and appointed the two most experienced guys in the whole wide world ever because their expertise is in fighting the sort of battles Rangers will soon be facing. :seal:

Oh, and Asley is producing pure mullions of strips which cannot be sold but which Rangers are going to have to pay for. :drum:

I can't see him walking away from the Rangers Retail deal without a fight. It's personal between him and King.

It could be a tactical withdrawal. It could make it harder to have board meetings, for example, which may make a subsequent SD legal claim easier.

I'd expect there to be a bigger picture that none of us can see.

It wasn't when it started, but it is now. These guys work on ego, and don't want to see themselves bettered.

If it was purely based on business then Ashley would have sat down and renegotiated a deal that would result in more money for both parties.
