Arthur Numan always looked liked he was the 4th member of A-Ha. Still looks in great nick

I sat next to him and his wife on an Easy Jet flight to Amsterdam. Bert Konterman and his wife sat in the seats in front. I said I was surprised that he was not on a first class KLM flight. He said "Why should I pay a fortune for a 1 hour flight." As he sat in the aisle seat and I had the window seat I mostly talked to his wife next to me as he signed autographs. I never mentioned I was a Rangers supporter until she noticed the RFC pendant around my neck. Nice people.

I had the honour of meeting him in Chatelherault Country Park a few years back on Grandpa duties, all I said was 'Hi Arthur' he said 'Hi' back. :)

I came from Hamilton before moving to the US and saw him around the town centre area regularly. Don't know if he is still living in Hamilton but he was there for years after finishing as a player.

He is a scout for AZ so I guess he is back in Holland but he did indeed live in Hamilton. This is just an assumption and not knowledge.

I met him in Braehead after he finished playing, both our missus were in trying on clothes and he sat next to me with his baby. We had a good 5 minute chat about Rangers, I told him he was still fit enough to play having watched him in a charity event and he was saying how his time was over and it was time for the younger generation.

A complete gentleman he was.

I also heard a 'rumour' that he turned up to the Arthur Numan Loyal annual dance one year and covered the bar bill for the night. No idea if true but wouldn't surprise me if it was.
