trublusince1982 243 Posted May 25, 2016 Share Posted May 25, 2016 Seemed they only got control because rangers fans chased hibs fans to the halfway line which allowed them to bring in the small number of horses they had and keep the gap enforced until police came from outside to start a cordon. aweebluesoandso 290 Posted May 25, 2016 Share Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) It was literally mayhem for the first 15 minutes, the Hivs thugs had total freedom to do as they wished, most concentrated attacking the Rangers players, our officials and staff. Many of them ran straight to our end looking for trouble, the only Police officers and Stewards who did their job where at our end. The Police quickly drew their batons and threatened any Rangers fan trying to get on the pitch, along with the Stewards they tried to blocked HIV's fans from getting at our support and the small numbers of our fans trying to get on the pitch. At the HIV's end there was very little attempt at stopping the on field invasions, that act of inaction by Police and Stewards could very easily lead to death.
