Scottish Cup Final fall out: Anti-Rangers coverage must cease

Recommended Posts

Craig you are in danger of becoming my favourite admin, after Zappa. lol however i'm more a Charge Of The Light Brigade, than a Rorke's Drift man. We need to go on the attack, hard, fast and continuous till the point is rammed home. We were the victims of a unprovoked attack yesterday.

Charge of the Light Brigade didn't end too well did it? (Joke)

I would imagine if the club wished, a private prosecution could be indicated on several different parties. Hibs are liable for a start as it was they who issued 75% of their ticket allocation to fans who were not known to the club. The authorities for incompetent policing/stewarding and the perpetrators on the pitch themselves.

With all due respect buster there really isn't any "boxing clever". There is enough footage and evidence yesterday to prove what happened. Yet the mainstream media continue to not only downplay it but effectively ignore that players and staff were attacked. How do you box clever when there is effectively blanket denial by the media, politicians and even the opposing club who witnessed what their fans did ?

I don't believe it matters what we do next as it will be the usual "big bad Rangers" or "can't accept defeat" or "over reaction". We are vilified even when we are the victims. This won't change, no matter how we react.

So time to circle the wagons and look after ourselves.

We are only individual fans and we will see what the next few days bring in terms of further or secondary reactions from the club/fans groups and an indication of how they are looking to play this.

If you want to start to change something that is entrenched then you don't repeat the standard reaction that will be expected and get us nowhere. At the sametime if it was to become clear that a real alternative isn't coming from the club then you have to be clear to the authorities/other clubs that there will be consequences for a lack of reason/proportionality in their reaction.

That said, the SFA will almost certainly try and push this into the long grass with an enquiry of sorts.

The Police should be making a lot of arrests this week.

Successful and powerful pressure groups heavily influence what is to be debated and denounced in the public/media and we suffer from being in opposition to a side that has them both directly and indirectly, whilst we don't really have any.........Hence when an opportunity arises through undeniable events, we should look to take it.
