ON THIS DAY in 2002 Peter Lovenkrands struck a 90th minute winner to beat Celtic and win the Scottish Cup.

The striker’s last minute header won the game 3-2 for the Gers after his side clawed themselves back into the game twice, going 1-0 down after 21 minutes and then 2-1 just after the break.

Lovekrands struck an equaliser to make it all even before Celtic pulled 2-1 ahead but Barry Ferguson levelled things with a stunning free-kick.

The Dane’s superb headed goal sent Hampden into raptures 10 seconds from full time and gave the Light Blues a double for the season – a League Cup and a Scottish Cup.
