With the Championship title already won and promotion guaranteed to the top level of Scottish football, season ticket prices for season 2016/17 were always going to be of interest.

To that end, according to posts on social media today, renewals are now out in the post and it seems prices will be rising around 20% compared to this season. For example, a ticket in the Copland Rear has gone up from £348 for season 2015/16 to £420 for the forthcoming Premiership campaign. Existing season ticket holders will also have until Friday 3rd June to renew.

Whilst this represents a substantial rise for many supporters, the ongoing issues with retail monies and other onerous contracts means we will have to continue to play our part in funding the club. Expect more from the official site on this over the next day or two.

20% still doesn't take it back to where it was 4 years ago does it? Bear in mind, that year on year you tend to get slight increases anyway due to costs etc, so I'm not sure it's too awful. Will wait and see though

Likely one more home league game (potentially two or none), which makes up 5.5% of it... A couple of home games against Celtic must also be worth something.

Doesn't seem too bad and reasonable compared to average in the EP - whose clubs could afford to make it cheap due to the £90m in TV money - chop £100 off for 30k and it's only £3m, a drop in the ocean for them, but now significant for us. I think that might be the thinking in Germany and Spain. However, as the EP have 95-99% full stadiums (except Aston Villa), it's not so compelling.

On reflection in seems very reasonable. It could have been 30-35% and some were suggesting(myself included) 10-15%. It's a good source of income, and not to much as to hit the pocket to hard. I would also expect increases in double figures for the next couple of years though.
