Fall of the house of David Murray...

Recommended Posts

26th of Foot always claims Murray was a gambler like his dad, and I think that it's proven here. He took massive risks and it resulted in the downfall of MIH.

And ultimately placed Rangers into the hands of a carpetbagger.

Theres also the possibility that he knew exactly what he was doing!!

it didn't matter what he was doing risk wise as it would never bother him financially - its the company that goes under using the bank's money - same at Rangers

the guy's a snake and always has been a snake.

our achievements as a football club under him for what it cost was a joke, piss poor.

I agree the guy is morally destitute and imo knew exactly what he was doing when he sold the club to Whyte. To say our achievements were piss poor is a stretch I feel, 9 in a row was under his stewardship(should have been 10) last 16 of champions league(should have reached last 8, still mind Kriss Boyd missing a sitter in Spain!) and that will never be forgotten in our history(tragically neither will he:mad:) that aside though and for what happened to us, the running of our club over his final 5-10 years was an absolute disgrace. Run into the ground and stripped by someone who if he had any morals or decency should be thoroughly ashamed of himself and a lot would say investigated in the same way that has befallen his cohort that he sold our club too.

The dangers of making a basic business mistake of funding long term assets (property) with short term loans.

His asset/liability matching skills certainly left a lot to be desired. Personally I think there was an element of arrogance at play when you look to fund long term assets with short term funding

Toss the whole Empire into liquidation.(by borrowing money you know wont be able to be paid back)

Get rid of the loss making parts (Rangers included)at no cost.

Cherrypick the profit making parts for yourself.

Sit back at your vineyard, laughing like feck.

I could be wrong, but is that not what he has done?

He like many others in the business world makes a right cock-up of things, gets bankruptcy agreed whilst setting up elsewhere and not giving a sh** about others,

A total leech like the ones who followed on not caring about what he left behind, another whose portraits and legacy should be binned.
