Deila’s battle cry: Bring on Gers we’re ready and waiting

Recommended Posts

RONNY DEILA last night warned Old Firm rivals Rangers: We are ready for you.

Mark Warburton’s side have clinched promotion to the Premiership after a four-year absence.

Celtic boss Deila believe Gers deserved their title — but insists the Hoops are prepared for the challenge.

He said: “Rangers have shown they are the best team in the Championship and of course we are ready to take them on next year.”

Deila also believes the Ibrox side’s presence in the Premiership will act as a boost for Scottish football.

He said: “They are a big club and when they are good enough, that’s a positive thing.”

Meanwhile former Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes the Parkhead club will benefit from Gers’ return.

Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell previously claimed their demise had cost his club £10million per season.

Lennon, who left Celtic in 2014, welcomed the return of regular Old Firm football next season.

The two sides meet in next week’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and Lenny said: “It will be a good selling point for the game in Scotland again.

“It has been a hard sell in terms of TV rights and it will bring more money into the game. For Celtic they are going to have the old enemy back.”

What ever happened to the Delia Cry or Shout or whatever the f@ck it was called?

Wee foreigner Delia has got himself into trouble with a couple of League winning medals added to his his CV along with the ones he probably values more. His experience at the 'Club with History' will see him back where he belongs. Thrown out to start again.

Think it was the "Ronnie Roar" sounds like something you would tell a 5 year old to do when it was their birthday Ffs! Tbh, the sheep have thrown it away this year, they have had plenty of chances and you never know, might still do it if his Norwegian trawler hits an iceberg!! Can you imagine if the sheep pumped them, I really dislike the sheep but that would be some party lol

The Ronny Roar that's what is was, jings how fickle when you think about it...The Ronny Roar will go down in history like eh...like...can't think of anything.

Suppose Roar has a connection with big crowds and because Ronny starts with R then....no that didn't quite work out either?
