I dread the the thought this is a way of working his ticket back to Scotland when you look at the state the filth are under Deeila then there's only one way to look at it. I'm not worried one bit about him coming up here to challenge us, bring it on, I'm very concerned about him spitting on Rangers scarves and mouthing 'dirty Orange b@stards' and getting the stage to do so. NEIL LENNON reckons Celtic will dump Rangers out of the Scottish Cup because Mark Warburton won’t be ready for an Old Firm baptism of fire. Former Hoops boss Lennon has been impressed with Gers this season but as he looked ahead to next month’s semi, he said: “Nothing will prepare Warburton for his first taste of the Old Firm as a manager. “I just think Celtic will be too strong for Rangers on the day.” The heat may be on for Ronny Deila as he fights to save his job at Celtic but Lennon reckons it’s Warburton and Rangers who will wilt in the Old Firm cauldron. Deila took over from Lennon at Parkhead two years ago but the Northern Irishman is being linked with a sensational return to the hotseat after leaving Bolton. Pressure is building on the Hoops boss and a defeat to Rangers in next month’s Scottish Cup semi-final will lead to more calls for his head. But Lennon believes the Norwegian will follow up last season’s League Cup success over the Ibrox club with another crucial derby win. The former no-nonsense midfielder has been impressed by new Rangers gaffer Warburton this season but insists nothing will prepare the Englishman for his first taste of the Old Firm experience. And Lennon claims Celtic’s superior quality, experience and muscle will prove to be too much for Rangers at Hampden. He said: “When the semi-final draw was made it intrigued me. “ Rangers were superb against Dundee in the last round but they have a young team. “Mark Warburton doesn’t have any Old Firm experience and Ronny Deila has . “Ronny won the League Cup semi-final last year and I just think Celtic will be too strong for Rangers on the day. “Nothing will prepare Warburton for his first taste of the Old Firm as a manager. With the game being at Hampden, that moves the bumpers a bit too for Rangers. “I just think that with the big-game experience Celtic have, they will win. “I’m not sure Warburton’s Rangers side will have come up against as good a team as Celtic yet. “Like all Old Firm games, it will be about who performs on the day. “However, there is a gap between the two sides. “It may not be as big as it was when the two clubs met last season but it is still there. “There is no question Rangers have turned things around under Warburton and the football they are playing is flowing. “There seems to be a lot of confidence about Rangers going into this game and a lot of negativity regarding Celtic. “Having said that, Celtic are the champions and they are still going for the Double. “There is a lack of experience in the Rangers side and there is also a lack of physicality. Celtic will be too strong for them in the end. “This is the kind of game that could gee up Celtic and give them that final push towards achieving the Double. Both managers will earn so much kudos for winning this game. “I just think Celtic have the better players and more experience.” Few people know more about the derby than Lennon, who spent seven years patrolling the Hoops midfield before another four in the Parkhead dugout. He insists the Old Firm encounter is still one of the greatest clashes in world football and claims the Scottish game has sadly missed the money and exposure the fixture brings in the last four years with Rangers languishing in the lower leagues. That’s set to change next term with Rangers on the verge of winning promotion and Lennon believes their return will benefit every club in the top flight. He said: “This is one of the greatest fixtures in world football. “I will certainly be at Hampden for the semi-final as Old Firm matches are amazing spectacles. “Scottish football will have those games back next season and that will interest the television companies again. “Hopefully that will lead to the money coming back into the game again in Scotland. “All clubs have suffered because of Rangers being in the lower leagues, not just Celtic. “We are three weeks away from the game and everybody is talking about it. “Scottish football has been at a loss without a regular diet of the Old Firm fixture. “Rangers have been out of the Premiership for such a long time but their job of getting back up is almost done now.” Lennon has returned north of the border after a rollercoaster 18-month spell as Bolton boss. He left the Trotters earlier this month and is now on the lookout for his next job in management. The 44-year-old believes he has matured with age and now cringes with embarrassment when he looks back at some of his antics in the Celtic dugout . Lennon said: “I had a lot of trouble with referees in Scotland . “I had some horrendous decisions against me when I was Celtic manager. People say they even themselves out but I didn’t see it that way as I was just seeing injustices against my team. “When I look back at the early footage of my managerial days at Celtic I know emotions run high but I realised that at times I made a fool of myself.
