THE Easter Road manager still can’t understand why his keeper was booked in the replay win over Inverness.

ALAN STUBBS has revealed Hibs are ready to appeal keeper Mark Oxley’s controversial yellow card he copped during Wednesday night’s Scottish Cup win at Inverness.

Oxley was cautioned by referee Stephen Finnie for time-wasting when in actual fact the shot-stopper had lost a contact lens.

The yellow card means Oxley will now miss the semi-final against Dundee United at Hampden on April 16.

Manager Stubbs eventually withdrew the distressed Englishman whose vision was impaired and replaced him in the closing stages with back-up keeper Otso Virtanen.

And the Scouser insists the circumstances are so rare the capital club is certain to appeal the card if they think there is a case to answer.
