Celtic set to sweat as SPFL to launch investigation into alleged offensive singing against Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park

THE match delegate’s report is understood to have highlighted what is described as ‘sustained’ pro-IRA chanting during the 1-1 draw.

THE SPFL are to launch an investigation into alleged offensive singing by sections of the Celtic support during their team’s league clash with Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park on Friday, February 26.

The match delegate’s report is understood to have highlighted what is described as ‘sustained’ pro-IRA chanting during the 1-1 draw.

It is also believed that attention has been drawn to areas of potential overcrowding in the stand behind the goal, which housed much of the Celtic support. The delegate report is understood to point out that some fans with tickets elsewhere in that stand, abandoned their seats to congregate together elsewhere.

Host club Accies and Police Scotland will be asked for their comments on those issues, while Celtic will be probed for answers on fan behaviour.

Both clubs have received copies of the report and following the next Board meeting of the SPFL on Wednesday, March 23, an official investigation will be launched.

Somehow, the BBC's Tom English didn't see any of it (and probably didn't ask the authorities at hand for any misbehaviour either (like his fellow reporter Scrote likes to)) ... http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/35733370 ... nor does any other report mentioned it thus far http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/teams/celtic ... but now that someone with gall has stoked it up, maybe they'll write a word or two as well.

Meanwhile, Celtic have announced they are to subsidise the cost of their fans’ tickets by £6 for the visit to Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The Parkhead club will reduce the price of the Rugby Park briefs from £26 to £20.

Tims chanting in favour of terrorist groups is not new...Salmond having a pint with them isn't news either unless you're part of a Rangers forum.

Better together is a great thing if only the UK government were true to their word and actually explained why we are better together instead of abandoning us to the filth.

Not sure how you can blame the UK government for this. We've done it to ourselves.

Bet you one million dollars no-one explains the 'better together' question and this thread disappears into oblivion!

Maybe a £15billion budget deficit according to last weeks GERS figures explains why we're better together with the rUK.

We dodged a bullet bigstyle not voting for independence.

Thankfully enough in this country were wise enough to see thro' the SNP white paper lies

If you're still asking that question, then you've already made up your mind IMO. Surely it's for the SNP to make the case for independence rather than the other way around?

Does Rab get the $1million or are you donating it to the site?

Are you saying rUK didn't have a budget deficit? Surely you have to qualify that figure or it's just meaningless?

You do understand that a significant amount of Scotland's income is tied to the price of oil which goes up as well as down?

Do you realise, Norway are also running a deficit for the same reason and are about to withdraw money from their "oil fund" to pay for it? Now why does't Scotland do that? Oh wait...
