Matt Crooks one to watch for Plymouth Argyle in away game against Accrington

Recommended Posts

ONE of the most talented midfielders in League Two, Matt Crooks will be leaving Accrington at the end of the season, whether they are promoted or not.

Crooks, 22, has signed a pre-contract agreement with Scottish Championship leaders Rangers.

He will move to Ibrox on a four-year contract for the start of the 2016/17 campaign, the same as his Accrington team-mate Josh Windass.

Windass has nearly completed his recovery from a double hernia operation at the start of this year but the visit of Argyle to the Crown Ground will come too soon for him to make his comeback.

The creative-minded Crooks has made a total of 34 starts for Accrington this season and scored eight goals.

He must stand a good chance of being selected for the PFA League Two Team-of-the-Year after his consistently excellent performances.

shows our manager has an eye for a good player wherever he's playing. There's an article today about Forrester too...a Doncaster reserve !

On another note Accrington must be pissed off about Josh Windass, regretting they didn't take the money in January.

I think it was Rangers that made that decision. Warburton didn't want them this season.

I thought we'd offered £400,000 to take them both early. Might be havering though

I am not 100% sure but I think that was supporter\Forum talk. I am sure Warburton said early that they were for next season.
