pete 2,499
Wednesday, 24 February 2016, 09:00 by Rangers Football Clubhttp://rangers.co.uk/news/rangers-tv/happy-birthday-sebo/ ON THIS DAY in 1984 Filip Sebo was born and today he turns 32. The Slovakian joined Rangers in 2006 and stayed at Ibrox for one year making 24 appearances, scoring twice. This goal against Aberdeen was a crucial one as it sealed a 1-0 win for the Gers in stoppage time. You can view the match report from that day HERE. That was Sebo’s second goal for Rangers he scored in his starting debut under Paul Le Guen, against Hibernian. He also netted against Chelsea in a pre-season friendly. Sebo moved out on loan to Valenciennes the next season, before making the deal permanent. The forward is still playing now, for FC Petržalka Akademia, back in his home country. I loved big Sebo. If hard work made a football player he would have been a topper. Unfortunately 3 goals in 24 games for a striker isn't that great. RANGERRAB 3,740
He could score for Slovakian clubs but failed miserably when he played outside his own country
Tannochsidebear 2,429
He tried his hardest, gave everything he had, unfortunately that wasn't a lot. Will always be remembered by the wonderful ditty sung by us during the final OF game of the season (dead rubber unfortunately) "Sebo's on, we're taking the piss". My memory suggests this was also the game of a rare (only?) Boyd OF goal, and Charlie Adam's great free kick under the jumping wall. Happy to be corrected if wrong.
