I immediately thought of Graham Roberts anyone more recent?

I thought directly on Roberts so I think it was him. I think not long after that teams could put a keeper on the bench.

Can't recall myself but sure I seen it a few times in pre substitution rules.

As a wee extra to the post does anyone think rules should be changed to allow three substitutes as now and that the keeper be replaced at any time if injured over and above the three?.

I remember big Davie Provan going in goal, Davie Wilson moving to left back and Billy Ritchie going to outside left in a match against the skidmarks.

Also the England v Scotland match at Wembley in 1965 where England more or less ended the match with 9 men due to injuries.

Big John Greig made the greatest save ever by an outfield player in the 1973 Scottish Cup final.

He wasn't exactly officially the keeper, but his dive and strong left hand turned a powerful Deans shot from around eight yards round the post. The Gas Meter must have been truly impressed.
