THE top of the table Championship clash between Rangers and Hibernian next month has been switched to due Scottish Cup commitments.

The title rivals were due to meet at Easter Road on Monday, March 7 but the game has now been postponed.

Rangers beat Kilmarnock on Tuesday night to set up a quarter-final clash with Dundee or Dumbarton, while Hibs saw off Hearts and will face holders Inverness Caley Thistle.

Mark Warburton’s side are currently eight points clear in the second tier ahead of their trip to Queen of the South on Sunday, after Hibs have hosted Alloa.

Hopefully by then we can send out the reserve team.

Lots to play for before then so standards have to be maintained but even at this early stage would accept a draw in Edinburgh.

Will receive tickets for game but may not go as I fear the so called Hibs Casuals will be out in force.
