Surely that is a statement of (factual) supremacy "We are the people" was the subject of a long thread on McConvilles website a few years ago. Not one of the mock offended knew where it originated. Even after being told they wouldn't accept the answer and continued to call posters liars/ draw their own conclusions/make up fairy tales/ post links to folk even more obsessed and deluded than themselves. They came away with the same sort of stuff, that it was a catholic who was jumped on or something like that. I am sure there is a thread on here somewhere. The Penny Arcade they claimed was a celebration of the shooting of a Republican (terrorist, I presume - I can't recall the details) in a gaming shop in Belfast. They make up reasons for everything. They then repeat it ad infinitum - and get their friends in the media to help - to get it accepted as 'fact'. Unfortunately, demented though they are, this is highly effective in a society, such as ours, which disdains education and historical fact and reveres ignorance and acts on ill-judged instincts.
