The 4th Gersnet Dinner on 30 January 2016: Featuring Willie Johnston & Colin Stein

Recommended Posts

Well done again BH. Although I couldnt make this one due to other commitments, I hope to be able to make the next one, probably at the end of this season or beginning of next?

Muchas gracias.

If it's the end of this season the last home game is on 23 April v Alloa when I'll be on a tour of some archaeological sites near Chiclayo in Peru, so someone else will need to organise.

If we get to the Cup Final on Saturday, 21st May 2016, I could organise but I think a venue might be difficult and a lot of guys will have their own things on; but that's a long shot anyway.

Perhaps, with this one being end Jan it might be best to look at the beginning of next season, though it's difficult to work out when folks finish holidays these days.

You were sorely missed, TB.

Hope to see you next time, whenever that is.

The guy I met Mo Ali says they go in for a coffee or a pint before games. I imagine it might be good for pakora and a pint as an alternative to the pubs before a match but I'm only passing on what Mo and his pals told me (don't think any of them drink btw)

They go in for lunch if it's an early KO or dinner if it's 3.00pm, a couple of them inc Mo don't drink but the others put away a few; not that that's a criteria, of course.

It would be a great wee place to meet for a pre match beer, you would think it would be quiet enough?,or maybe gersnet should just book it for every home game, for beers!:)

They're generally about half full before the games and get a bit of a rush after but Mo said they were surprsingly empty early evening after the last match.

Put it this way, our dinner was like Christmas come early or held over for them.

Was good to meet a few of you at the dinner on Saturday.

I "met" your mate who was "missing in action" and made sure he was ok.

Got him home Safe and sound...if not a tad late lol.

I only did what any bear would have done to aid another bear

A big thank you to Alan for allowing me and my mate up from London to attend the evening.

He loved the whole day and very late night we had in the company of bears in numerous bars.

WATP.
