Absolutely tragic news. It appears he was at a shopping centre, near his car. I really wish people wouldn't jump to shitty conclusions. He may have been mistakenly identified, it may have been random. It may have been someone who didn't like him playing for a football team - we all remember Escobar right.

Hope they catch the scumbags.

Arnold Peralta: Honduras footballer shot dead -

Honduran international footballer Arnold Peralta has been shot dead. He was killed in the car park of a shopping centre in La Ceiba, on the country's Caribbean coast. The motive for the attack isunclear.

No arrests have been made. Police ruled out robbery as a possible motive because Peralta had not had his belongings taken.

"This is terrible," his father Carlos told a news conference. "They killed my exemplary son. I can't say more because of the pain I feel."
