Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020

If we don't sign any players am I right in thinking that we are able to recall loaned players at any time should it be necessary in emergency.

Depends on what the conditions stipulated in the loan contract are. You would like to think we put a recall option into them.

To me its quite simple if we don't have the kind of cash to buy decent players then this will show us the skill of the manager and his coaches in brining in youngsters to the first eleven and if it works that will be the start of building a first class team I have faith in the manager for the first time in years we are playing decent football .

TOMMY WRIGHT today revealed Michael O’Halloran will go back into his St Johnstone squad because there is "nothing happening" with Rangers.

O’Halloran was supposedly on the brink of an Ibrox switch at the weekend but Saints boss Wright at the start of the week insisted there had been no new bid for the playmaker.

And Wright – who last weekend left O’Halloran out of his squad to face Hamilton – is set to pick him for Saturday’s clash with Celtic.

The Perth manager said: "I haven’t spoken to the chairman since Tuesday night and then there was no change in the situation.

"You’re always fearful of losing your best players but we haven’t lost anybody yet. The way things are at the minute, nothing’s happening.

"Michael’s trained all week. He’ll train today and tomorrow.

"He’s been good in training on Monday and Tuesday so he’ll be in the squad on Saturday. There’s nothing more to report on it."

In an interview with STV Wright added: "From my point of view, I’m delighted. I want him here.

"We haven’t been actively trying to sell him and we want to keep him so unless it changes dramatically over the next 48 hours he’ll be in the squad for Saturday.

"[His frame of mind] is a lot better. I know it’s been bubbling in the background but, it reached its height last week. I just felt he was down a bit in terms of his training but this week he’s been excellent so I see no reason why I shouldn’t include him."

They have an even bigger game next weekend.

... and the transfer window will still be open.

As for "people in the know", let's just remind ourselves of that issue with our trademarks et al, and how a paper tried to make fact of an ongoing issue. How much Tommy Wright really knows is anyone`s guess. Maybe Warburton wants to see how O'Halloran performs tomorrow - under that we bit more pressure from the Yahoo hordes, who will sure give him a warm reception. This and next week's game will be as good as any trial period with us.
