Unsubstantiated Rumour

Recommended Posts

Heard today that SDM has entered into initial dialogue with a Russian Billionaire (whos name escapes me at the moment, but its the guy that has moved into a house near SDM and rented out Murray Park in the summer for his friends) regarding some much needed investment or an actual take-over.

As I said, this is completely unsubstantiated at the moment.

Is this the same Russian who was mentioned during the summer I wonder?

Yes he has been mentioned for a while now. The fact it has taken so long makes me nervous. If he really wanted it and Murray was convinced he was the right man it would have happened a year ago. Unless he wanted to start with no debt, then that would explain Murray's tactics over the last year.

I hope he is not another Vladmir.

Whats happened at Hearts and Chelsea kind of puts me off the idea of a Russian Billionaire taking over. Its frightening to think where Hearts could be in 5-10 years, would anyone be surprised if Mad Vlad ruined them?? When he leaves they will have crippling debts and i doubt they will recover.

Im not SDM's biggest fan but id prefer he stayed until a proper Rangers man came in and took control rather than have a few years success then left with massive debts again. Personally i hope nothing comes of this
