pete 2,511
He was on Dutch TV tonight. He was actually looking well although his speech has become very impaired. Even my wife who is Dutch was struggling to understand him. Well in retrospect she doesn't even understand me. He is bringing out a magazine in Holland which he is quoted as saying" Giving up? NEVER! He is taking untried pills made in Russia which he thinks may gain him precious time but he knows he is clutching at straws. He did say that since taking the pills his lungs have have become larger which is a big improvement in what he can do. Although he has a lift upstairs he still refuses to use it and will only walk up the stairs even although it costs him time and energy. I am not a big Fernando fan but nobody deserves this illness!

Scott7 6,667
Never one of my favourite footballers but the guy's got courage. An old 'Gers select played an old Aberdeen/Celtic select in a fund raising match at Elgin City's ground last month. Fernando was there with near 5,000 + to see Mols and Negri secure victory for the righteous.

Funny enough he said he was probably on the happiest time of his life as he was at peace with everything and he never had that during his good years.
