Cup winners deserve more than just a Europa League place...it's an exclusive European competition (even if it includes clubs beaten in their national cup final) It doesn't devalue it. The best teams should be in Europe's foremost competition.Perhaps there is room for a champions cup competition. Knock out with a home and away game..or even just one game per round. Depends on luck whether you get drawn home or away Some would argue that the champions of each league, represent the best in Europe. On a realistic level, we all know that isn't the case, but a team finishing 4th in the EPL, is not a champion.
