McCoist Meeting with King ?

It was Mccoist who publically told the fans to buy season tickets , just after he got his 30 pieces of silver or as they are better known 1 million penny shares , never forget that

That's as maybe, but the fans needed a signal and he gave it.

After Whyte, the fans were indeed sceptical about backing Green. Ally signalled the all clear and the fans gave the club the financial backing that was crucial to keeping us alive.

If he had not given the "green" light to back that board then the club could have died. I'm not an out and out Ally supporter, but that has to be recognized. Who knew what was to come, but staying alive was critical.

When you look at the healthier and vibrant situation today - what price thirty pieces of silver, then?

You cannot give Mccoist credit for that , all he was doing was looking out for himself imho , something he is very very good at

Who could you give the credit to, then?

The fans did not know whether they could trust Green, but they knew the club needed their support. The whole re-birth could have withered on the vine if the 'man of the hour', or someone of equal status - maybe Walter, did not endorse Green.

Would you have pitched in at that time without a trusted source, paid or not, giving the go-ahead?

Bollox.

McCoist endorsed Green for purely selfish reason.

The notion that Charles Green saved Rangers is simply utterly ridiculous, his offer wasn't even the highest offer received for the asset purchase.

Perhaps you missed it but Green and his cronies were lifted the other week and charged with inter alia "serious organised crime".

At the time McCoist endorsed Green, who else was around to save the day? I'm not talking about McCoist's implied payoff here, but the fact he helped push the fans to save the club.

Whether Green's offer was the highest or not, he did own the club. If you were so insightful at the time Green needed McCoist to endorse him, why did you pitch in?

Like the rest of us, you were desperate for the club to survive - almost, no matter how.

I'd bet you that there were great numbers of fans who had reservations about Green, but pitched in on McCoist's say so.
