In the away games so far has this guy been seen in the directors box? He was last season, seemed to be a special friend of those in control then.

Seemingly he did a Q&A with Richard Gough last week in the Thornton Suite. RG was staying we know had the proper people in charge etc, etc. and Camerton was like a nodding horse in agreeing with him!!

The new look official match programme is the best in years. The one down-side to it that I readily skip past without a second glance is the two pages given over to Andy Cameron in each edition. His writing is poor, never funny, and is a total waste of space in an otherwise excellent publication full of great articles (the ones with David Mason have been first class so far), great facts and stats and well worth the £3, apart from the above. I know we all have a living to earn, and at least Cameron has no problem with being a Rangers supporter and I have no doubt is a good guy for "entertaining" visiting Directors, but that is money best saved and perhaps spent better elsewhere.

Couldn't agree more regarding the quality of the new programme.

I stopped buying them years ago and only started again this season as a way of compensating the Club for not buying any merchandise. I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing and the really interesting subject matter.

Well worth a read.

I've met him a few times and even worked with him once. I found him to be professional, friendly and hard working. He is what he is though, a Glasgow comedian of a certain vintage, he's not everyone's cup of tea but he has his audience.

As for the boardroom stuff I know that during administration he was active behind the scenes for Paul Murray, approaching business contacts, introducing people he knew who might have the ability and inclination to help the club at that time to Murray.

Rangers is a big, big part of his life and he's never been afraid to speak about that, something that has probably been to the detriment of his career particularly in recent years.

I'd also point out that Andy Cameron is 75 years old now, he invariably holds different views on things from people half his age. He'll no doubt be irrelevant to many of our support now, but not all. We're a broad church and we should cater for that.
