Premier League Predictions

Chelsea will run away with it again, I don't see Arsenal having any chance whatsoever. I'm disappointed in the lack of signings though, last year showed Chelsea are miles ahead of anyone in England but some way off Europe's elite.

Just an ignorant comment and they started well yesterday. :D

2 flukey goals, they will struggle to win this league unless they sign Pogba.

We should have had a Gersnet fantasy league....

That's a good shout.

This is not fantasy, this is real....

Big 5 Table

Liverpool 1 1 0 0 1 0 3

Man Utd 1 1 0 0 1 0 3

Chelsea 1 0 1 0 2 2 1

Man City 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Arsenal 1 0 0 1 0 2 0

An ignorant comment coming from the guy who thinks Arsenal will win the league? Remind me the competitive record between Arsene and Mourinho? How many times have Arsenal finished above Chelsea in recent seasons? There was a 12 point swing last season, what's going to change now? Whether Pogba signs or not, Matic and Fabregas are two world class players for central midfield.

I suspect Chelsea will win it again too - but I don't think they will run away with it as you say.... but we both know what I think about your use of superlatives :P

Cech will be worth at least 6-10 points to Arsenal because he is a far, far better keeper than anything Arsenal have had since Seaman. That will instill confidence in the players in front of him. I can see Arsenal being 10 points better off than last season but that could very well see them fall short.

I was at the Chelsea vs Barcelona game last week and thought Chelsea played well (albeit Barca played mostly reserved 1st half and were without Messi, Neymar, Alves). The issue I would have as a Chelsea fan would be Costa's fitness. Falcao looked dreadful last week and you cant rest the responsibility on Remy. So they need Costa to be fit. Or they need to bring in another striker, which wouldn't surprise any of us.

I'm looking forward to it though - Utd seem to have bought well, Liverpool have bought a LOT (but do they improve what they had ?), Arsenal had a decent squad and the signing of Cech could be significant (but could still do with a striker, CB and LB IMHO) - I don't think City have strengthened at all though.

Bring it on I say.

Falcao's goal record last season was dreadful so I don't understand signing him either, he'll be on huge money too. Then again, any striker who joins knows they will be second fiddle to Costa. I did a fantasy league last season, nobody joined!

Just watched Man City dominate West Brom, I thought too with the 'old faithful's' in the City ranks they would be nowhere near challenging for the title.

I'm changing my mind after just 1 game, Silva is such a hungry player, Yaya's got his enthusiasm back and Kompany looks excellent. With a quiet Sterling making his competitive debut and Aguero up front with all that going on behind him, then I'll go Man City for the league.

2nd Chelsea or Arsenal.

4th Liverpool or Man Utd.

No offence meant mate. The past is the past between their record though. In terms of Premier League Arsenal used to have a great record over Chelsea and now its swang over...doesn't mean to say one will do better than the other this season, the proof will be in the pudding.

I thought Arsenal were arrogant on Sunday and west ham call their bluff, superb performance by them. Arsenal have looked super good all summer yet when the big kick off came they lost again.

Still think Chelsea need Pogba to boss their midfield. If they got him they would win the CL.

City 3-0 Chelsea. I didnt see that one coming, I thought Mourinho would pull something out the hat. SBS gone a bit quiet.

Chelsea look disjointed and I think its down to Mourinho, he doesn't seem happy (again). Their squad is not near big enough. They need 3 signings in the mould of Stones, Pogba and Reus.

City look totally refreshed and hungry. Kompany and Toure were having world cup hangovers last season but after a resting summer they have returned to their best and look awesome.

Still very early days but with Champions League coming up unless Chelsea sign players they wont make top 4 playing like they have in their opening 3 games (including Community Shield).

They were certainly outclassed yesterday. Begovic saved them in the first half with a couple of great stops. Long way to go and still very early days but City look favourites at the moment - along with Leicester obviously :D
